In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God.”
“The same was in the beginning with God.”
“All things were made by Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made.”
“In him was life; and the life was the light of men.”
“And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth.” John 1:1-5, 14
"The CELEBRATION"
“Our hearts are filled with joy as we celebrate the birth of our Saviour in Bethlehem’s manager. We rejoice in the fact that the promise has been fulfilled.”
"Lighting of the candles"
“Today we relight the candle of Expectation recalling God’s promise to send a Saviour to His people. As we relight the candle of Preparation, we remember how John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus. As we relight the candle of Proclamation that His advent will soon take place. As we light the candle of Revelation we are reminded of the greatness of God’s love for us, revealed through the coming of the Christ child. Now, as we light the candle of Celebration, we rejoice in the advent of Messiah.”
