Rev. J. Howard Streeter III (Jack) is a native of Akron, OH and was raised in Nashville, TN.  He was licensed to preach and ordained as a Minister of the Gospel. He is currently the Pastor of Evangelism at Mount Calvary Baptist Church (Akron, OH) where he has served on the Pastoral Staff since 1999 under the leadership of Senior Pastor Jeffrey A. Dennis. Pastor Streeter has preached at various worship services, events, and community gatherings throughout Northern and Central Ohio.

Jack is a graduate of John R. Buchtel High School. He is also a graduate of the University of Akron (where he obtained an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and Bachelor’s Degrees in Sales and in Marketing); Ashland Theological Seminary (where he received his Diploma of Theology Degree in Black Church Studies and Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling); and Kent State University (where he earned an Educational Specialist Degree in Counseling). Pastor Jack is certified by the State of Ohio’s Counselor, Social Worker & Marriage and Family Therapist Board as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Since 2009, Jack has been a mental health counselor at the Minority Behavioral Health Group, where he, under the leadership of Dr. John Queener (tenured Professor at the University of Akron), has conducted school-based therapy and prevention services with students in Akron Public Schools, Copley-Fairlawn City Schools, the University of Akron, and various local charter and parochial schools.  

Pastor Jack has taught graduate courses and conducted counseling-related research in Atlanta, GA, Kent, OH, and Ashland, OH. He has also presented at professional workshops in Ohio, Missouri, New Mexico, and California.  Jack has an article published in the American Counseling Association’s Counseling Today Magazine (Feb. 2014) and Kent State University’s Chi Sigma Iota international honor society newsletter (Spring 2012).  Pastor Jack holds U.S. copyrights for songs & poetry and a U.S. trademark for a Christian clothing line owned by him and his wife.  

He is a devoted husband and loving father to the family God gave him: wife, Alissa; daughters, Julie & Stephie; and son, Isaiah. Jack’s journey has not been easy, but God’s Son has made a way for him to do that which Jesus has called him to do.
